Explain the ovarian and uterus changes taking place during follicular phase.

Dear Student,

Follicular phase:
In this phase, the primary follicles mature into the Graffian follicles. This causes the regeneration of the endometrium of the uterus , leading to its thickening. These changes are brought about by ovarian and pituitary hormones. In this phase, the release of gonadotropins (LH and FSH) increases. This causes follicular growth and the growing follicles produce oestrogen. In ovary these follicles get mature and are ready to be out from ovary.

Hello friend,
Throughout the entire?follicular phase, rising estrogen levels?in?the blood stimulate growth of the endometrium and myometrium of the?uterus. This also causes endometrial cells to produce receptors for progesterone, which helps prime the endometrium to the late proliferative?phase?and the?luteal phase.
