Explain the working of sparged stirred tank bioreactor

Dear student,
A bioreactor is essentially a vessel in which raw materials are biologically converted into specific products by efficient control of conditions like pH, Temperature,  substrates, salts, oxygen etc. It provides optimal conditions to obtain a desired product.
In a sparged stirred tank bioreactor the vessel is broader and flat from the bottom. Oxygen is bubbled into the system. Bubbles increase the oxygen transfer area and the shape provides increased surface area for oxygen transfer.
