The sharing of various powers between the Centre and the State governments is the basic structure of the Constitution of India. Part 12 of the Constitution provides numerous articles for the taxation for the whole country.
There are so many types of taxes which can be imposed by the appropriate government in appropriate manner.  
Governments impose taxes or we pay charges (taxes) in light of the fact that the administrative, state, and metropolitan governments institute charge laws. That charge income pays for an assortment of taxpayer supported organisations. The government gathers about equivalent to the state and neighbourhood governments joined.
Also to help reserve public works and benefits—and to construct and keep up the frameworks utilised in a country—the public authority normally burdens its individual and corporate occupants. The expense gathered is utilised for the advancement of the economy and all living in it.
