Traditional knowledge of environment and its various natural gifts can play a significant role in the protection of environment and sustainable development in India. Instead of damaging the environment by controlling it, the resources of the environment can be utilised in a harmless manner for its sustainable development.For example, we can use knowledge available in our four vedas to learn about various plans with medical properties to utilise them to improve healthcare in India.
