Explain why tearing a newspaper and burning a newspaper are two different kind of changes. Needed urgently for tommorow's FA 3 exam. please help............

Tearing a newspaper is a physical change bcoz

Tearing is a physical change as no new substance is formed but burning of paper is chemical change as ash, a new substance is formed.

Tearing of newspaper is physical change as the change is occuring in its physical properties and burning of newspaper is chemical change as new substance is formed that is ashes and gaseous.

Tearing of Paper is a physical change and Burning of Paper is a Chemical Change.
Explaination:
Tearing of Paper: Although we tear the Paper, It remains as the Paper. 
Burning of Paper: Before burning, It remains as Paper and After burning It has Changed or Converted into ASH.

IN TEARING OF PAPER NO NEW SUBSTANCE IS FORMED SO IT IS A PHYSICAL CHANGE. WHEN PAPER IS BURNT NEW SUBSTANCE IS FORMED[ASH] WHICH IS A PHYSICAL CHANGE.

Tearing of paper will be a physical change because when we tear paper there are no new substances formed or released and also the pieces of paper have the same properties as the original paper . While in the case of burning the paper , a new substance called ash is formed and carbon dioxide is released and also ash has completely different properties when compared with paper . That's why burning of paper is a chemical change

But when we burn a paper there are changes in the chemical properties and a new substance ash is formed . hence tearing of a paper is a physical change while burning of a paper is a chemical change.
