Explain,why there is growing demand to ban polythene bags and plastics.

Dear student,
As polythene bags and plastics are non biodegradable materials which does not mixed with the  soil and inturn harm the soil , leading to soil pollution . So the demand of banning the polythene and plastics are increasing.
