Explain why when we multiply two negative numbers we get a positive number?

 because as we multiply two number we get their products but the negative signs also get multiplied and therefore negative sign multiplied by the negative sign gives a positive sign

first uderstandwht is multiplication whe we multiply 3 by 4 actually we are adding three four times i.e 3+3+3+3 =12 now with negative signs when we multiply -4 by -3

i.e -(-3)-(-3)- (-3)-(-3)=12
