Explain

Dear Student,

Your question seems to be unclear as you have not mentioned anything about your query. So, I am assuming that you want the explanation of the example given in the image. If you still have any query regarding this topic, then we request you to please repost your question with complete information regarding your query.

Please find below the solution of the example given in the image:

we are given

t1 = 20 ± 0.5 C

t2 = 50 ± 0.5 C

the difference in temperature will be

dt = t2 - t1 = 50 - 20

or

dt = 30 C

the corresponding error equation will be

Δt/dt = (Δt1/t1) + (Δt2/t2)

or

Δt = ± dt.[(Δt1/t1) + (Δt2/t2)]

now, by substituting the appropriate values in the above equation we get

Δt = ± 30.[(0.5/20) + (0.5/50)]

or

Δt = ± 30.[0.025 + 0.01] = 30x0.035

thus, the error in temperature difference will be

Δt = ± 1.05 C

Hope this information clears your doubts about the topic.

Keep asking!!
