the difference in temperature will be
dt = t2 - t1 = 50 - 20
or
dt = 30 C
the corresponding error equation will be
Δt/dt = (Δt1/t1) + (Δt2/t2)
or
Δt = ± dt.[(Δt1/t1) + (Δt2/t2)]
now, by substituting the appropriate values in the above equation we get
Δt = ± 30.[(0.5/20) + (0.5/50)]
or
Δt = ± 30.[0.025 + 0.01] = 30x0.035
thus, the error in temperature difference will be
Δt = ± 1.05 C
