Explanation of newton first law of motion with examples

Dear student

According to Newton's first law of motion, a body continues to be in its state of rest or of uniform motion along a straight line, unless it is acted upon by some external force to change the state.

For example, you must apply force to move a heavy object, such as a chair or a set of dumbbells.  If you press down on a ball of clay, the force of your hand causes the clay to change its shape.

When a car moves the person also moves with the same velocity when the car suddenly stops the person tends to remain in motion, due to force of Inertia the person moves forward.
These are some examples of Newton's first law.
