and product =1/6
numbers are 1/3 and 1/2
now,
2x^2-5/6x+1/12
=2x^2-(3/6)x-(2/6)x+1/12
=x(2 x-1/2)-1/6(2x-1/2)
=(2x-1/2)(x-1/6)
