Great Himalayas are also known as Himadri. The Middle Himalayas are known as Himachal. The State of Himachal Pradesh lies in this range. The lesser Himalaya range has a number of scenic beauty spots and hill stations within. In Himachal Pradesh, there are Shimla, Dalhousie and Dharamshala. Mussoorie and Nainital are in Uttranchal. Darjeeling in West Bengal is close to the Nepal border. It stands on a mountain ridge at 2,150 m. It offers an unrivalled view of Kanchenjunga.
