female mosquito is not considered as a parasite although it needs our blood for reproduction. why is it so??

Just want to further clear the point that parasite are the organisms that utilize the body of the host to grow and reproduce. The parasite derives all the nutrients from the body of the host. 

Mosquito is not a parasite as they just feed on blood as part of their reproductive cycle. They complete their reproductive cycle elsewhere. They do not depend on host for growth and reproduction. Hence they are not considered as parasite.
