Fern is a vascular plant yet why is not considered as a phenerogamae

Dear student,

Though fern is a vascular plant but it doesnot contain seeds and reproduce by spores.
Phaenerograms - Seeds are characteristic feature of this group.
That's why fern is not considered in this group.
