Find perimeter & shaded region

Perimeter of the shaded region is equal to AB + AD + DC + Circumference of the semicircle 
                                                                  = 21 cm + 14 cm + (pie)r
                                                                  = 35 cm + 22/7 * 7 cm
                                                                  = 35 cm + 22 cm = 57 cm
