Consider the point P(a, b, c) Let PA, PB and PC be the perpendicular distances of point P from , y-axis and z-axis respectively $PA = \sqrt{b^{2} + c^{2}} PB= \sqrt{a^{2} + c^{2}} PC= \sqrt{a^{2} + b^{2}}$ The given points is P(â€“ 4, 3, 5) Distance of P from the x-axis = $\sqrt{(3)^{2} + {(5)^{2}}^{}} = \sqrt{9 + 25} = \sqrt{34}$ Distance of P from the y-axis = $\sqrt{(- 4)^{2} + (5)^{2}} = \sqrt{16 + 25} = \sqrt{41}$ Distance of P from the z-axis = $\sqrt{(- 4)^{2} + (3)^{2}} = \sqrt{16 + 9} = \sqrt{25} = 5$
