find the number of ions in one litre of solution which contain water and 9.75 gram of NaCl ...sir how to find ions type question!! I want very simple solution step wise
Dear student,
Molar mass of NaCl = 58.5 gm /mol
number of moles of NaCl per litre = W / M = 9.75 / 58.5 = 0.17 moles
As we know that i moe of NaCl contains 1moe of Na+ andi moe of Cl- ions or 2 moles of ions ( cation + anion )
So , 017 moles of NaCl contains = 2 x .17 = 0.34 moles of ions or 0.34 x 6.02 x 1023 = 2.047 x 1023 number of ions
