Find the ratio in which the line 3x+4y=7 divides line segment joining the points (1,2) (-2,1)
Hi Laksh Samdariya, equation of line joining (1,2) and (-2,1) is got as
(y - 2) / (2 - 1) = (x - 1) / (1 + 2)
OR y - 2 = ( x -1)/3
==> 3 y - 6 = x - 1
==> x - 3 y = - 5
Solving the above and 3 x + 4 y = 7 we get x and y in fractions. Hence it becomes so tedious
