c=speed of light in vacuum v=speed  of light in given medium

refractive index = c/v
              
      2.5 = 3 x 108 /  v
      v =  3 x 108 /  2.5
      v = 1.2 x 108      ans.

Speed of light in vaccum = 3× 10^8 m/s

Refractive index = Speed of the light in vacuum / Speed of the light in the medium

Speed of the light in medium = Speed of the light in vacuum / Refractive index

= 3×10^8 / 2.5

= 1.2×10^8 m/s.

Therefore the speed of light in diamond is 1.2×10^8 m/s.
