find the sum of 24 terms whose nth term is 3+2n/3 answer

an= 3+ 2n / 3 {given}

then if n=1 then

a1=3 + 2(1)/3

a=11/3

similarly...

if n=2 then

a2=3 + 2(2) / 3

a2=13/3

we know that sn== n/2[ 2a + (n-1)d]

s24=12 [22/3 +(23)2/3]

= 12 [ 68/3]

= 272

therefour, the sum of 24 terms is 272...

hope this is right...:D

 1st term = 3 + 2(1)/3 = 11/3

2nd term = 3 + 2(2)/3 = 13/3

therefore d = 2/3

thereforee 24th term = n/2[ 2a + (n-1)d]

= 12 [22/3 +(23)2/3]

= 12 [ 68/3]

= 272

Dear Student!

Given, nth term of the sequence, .

This is a linear expression in n,  therefore, the given sequence is an A.P.

Sum of 24 terms of the given AP, S24

Thus, the sum of first 24 terms of the given A.P. is 272.

Cheers!
