Given : The well is 3.5 cm = $\frac{3.5}{100} m$ = 0.035 m deep and 2 m in diameter.

⇒ Radius $= \frac{2 m}{2} = 1 m$

Now volume of the earth dug out = Volume of the well

= π × 1² × 0.035 m³

$= \frac{22}{7} \times 0.035 m^{3} = 0.11 m^{3}$

and C.S.A = 2π × 1 × 0.035 m²

$= \frac{22}{7} \times 0.07 m^{2} = 0.22 m^{2}$

also cost of plastering 1 m² = Rs 0.75

⇒ cost of plastering C.S.A = Rs. 0.75 × 0.22 = Rs 0.165
