Since ABCD is a parallelogramwe know that diagonals of ∥gm bisect each other ∴AO=OC and OB=ODWhen AO=OC⇒5y+1=6y-1⇒5y-6y=-1-1⇒-y=-2⇒y=2When OB=OD⇒3x-1=2x+1⇒3x-1=2x+2⇒3x-2x=2+1⇒x=3 Thus the value of x and y are 3 and 2 respectively.
