flow chart of vision
The flow chart of mechnaism of vision is as under:
Light reflected from the object falls on the eyes.
↓
The light passes through the conjuctiva, cornea, aqueous humour, lens and vitreous humour
↓
All these structures refract light such that light falls on retina
↓
The light received by retina is absorbed by rod and cone cells that activates the pigments present in their vesicles.
↓
The activation of pigments creates action potential in the membrane of vesicles.
↓
The action potential travels in the form of impulse to the optical lobe of brain through optic nerves
↓
The information is processed and we are able to see the image
