For recombinant DNA work why are both cDNA and gDNA libraries used

Dear student,
cDNA is used because it represents fragments of genome whose library will provide us with different specific fragments required for recombination to occur. gDNA represents genomic DNA of any organism whose genomic library provides clones of the genomes which is important to understand and study the genome of organism and also helps in recombination. Therefore cDNA and gDNA is used in recombinant DNA technology.
