Format of thank you letter

- Dear student, a thank you letter is a formal letter if it is written to a business associate or someone you do not know very well.
- In case, it is written to a friend or relative, it is an informal letter.

- The points to be included in a thank you letter are:
1. What you are thanking the person for: is it a gift, a timely piece of advice, assistance in time of need, etc.
2. How their gift/help/advice proved useful for you
3. Express just how grateful you are by reiterating your feelings on receiving the help/gift/advice.
4. Mention how important that person is to you.
5. Offer your help/assistance whenever required
