"From that day onwards it was celebration time for all the tigers inhabiting Pratibandapuram. The state banned tiger hunting by anyone except the Maharaja." So how was it a celebration time for all the tigers????

Dear student,

The maharaja banned tiger hunting in his empire. Thus, it was a celebration time for the tigers in his empire who presumed that they would be safe. But, the irony was that, though no other person could hunt the tigers in the empire, the king could do so at his whim and wish. The law was applicable for the rest. The tragic part was that the king hunted and exhausted the tiger population of Pratibandapuram.
