In right angle traingle ABC, we have    ABBC=tanCSubstitute the values to get,     45BC=tan40°    BC= 45tan40°The approximate value of tan 40° is 0
8391So it implies that,  BC= 450
8391        =53
63        ≈54Thus the man's partner is at a distance of 54 feet from the base of the tower
