GIFT means  -  (GAMETE INTRA - FALLOPIAN TRASFER)

This technic involes the transfer of washed sperms and harwestd ova to the ampulla of the follipian tube with the help of a laproscope .

In this technic fertilisation and cleavage occurs in the follipean tube .

GIFT- Gamete intra Fallopian transfer It is used in female who cannot produce ova but can provide suitable environment for fertilisation and further development of embryo in oviduct In such cases ovum from a donor female is surgically removed and is then introduced in Fallopian tubes of such female
