Give 5 day to day real life example of decomposition reaction

Solution:

Decomposition reaction: A reaction in which a complex reactant is converted into two or more simple molecules, then the reaction is called a decomposition reaction.

In other words, decomposition reaction is the separation of a substance into two or more simple substances which have different properties from each other and that of the original substance.

Ex: AB ---> A + B

Daily life examples of decomposition reactions are as follows-

1) When you open a fresh soda, the fizzing reaction that occurs is the result of a decomposition reaction:

H2CO→ H2O+CO2

2) When Calcium carbonate is heated, it decomposes to give calcium oxide and carbon dioxide gas.

Reaction : CaCO3 →CaO + CO2

3) 2NaHCO3 → Na2CO3 + CO2 + H2O
The above reaction occurs when someone takes an antacid.

4) 2H2O2 → 2H2O + O2 (g)
The above reaction takes place in the atmosphere.

5)  2 H2O → 2 H2 + O2
The above reaction occurs when electric current is passes through the water.
