Give a brief account of benevolent works of firoj tughlaq

Firoz Shah Tughlaq was the third ruler of Tughlaq dynasty that ruled over Delhi from 1320 to 1412 AD. He worked majorly for the development of infrastructure in his kingdom,

Benevolent works of Tuglaq:

1. The Sultan got constructed four canals, ten public baths, four mosques, thirty palaces, etc.
2. He promoted education and literature.
3. He introduced judicial reforms and ended up severe punishments like cutting of the limbs, etc.
4. He made reforms in the currency system.
5. He worked for the welfare of the peasants.
6. He introduced a new system of taxation.
