The academy of Logado was full of scientists who never produced any results and were responsible for country’s loss. There was a scientist who tried to produce sunbeams from cucumbers, another wanted to turn excrement back into food, next attempted to turn ice into gunpowder and many other such scientists worked at the academy. To summarize, the academy was of no use and was only a waste of money. The academy’s description by the author is simply ironical.
