Give a character sketch of the narrator in "the portrait of a lady" by khushwant singh

The narrator, Khushwant Singh, comes across as rather perceptive in his observations on his grandmother. Having been entirely brought up under her care, Singh, displays a genteel sensitivity towards his grandmother, who he thought was 'eternally old' and 'ancient'. He presents a keen observation of his grandmother, and her gradual transformation from a happy and active woman of the world to a recluse--a change brought about by the changing times and the world around her.

Hope this helps. Best.
