Ancient Greek art consisted of various kinds of paintings like vase paintings, wall paintings, panel paintings, etc. The vase paintings exhibited inscriptions and painted compositions such as geometric patterns, animal processions, etc. Moreover the wall paintings and panel paintings exhibited figural scenes, portraits, still-life, etc. Greek paintings were collected and displayed in public places too. These paintings were used in Greek architecture and sculptures too.
