Answer to Q.1 is:
1. The  Deccan Plateau lies to the South of the river Narmada. It forms a large triangle with its apex in the South of Cape Comorin.

2. It has the Satpura Range in the north and Mahadev, the Kaimur Hills and the Maikal range to its east.

3. The Deccan Plateau is higher in the west and slope gently eastwards.

4. The Eastern Ghats and the Western Ghats mark the western and eastern edges of the Deccan Plateau respectively.

5. The Meghalaya and Karbi Anglong Plateau in the northeast is an extension of the Deccan plateau.
