1. It is characterised from March to May in India.
2.The summer months experience rising temperature and falling air pressure in the  northern part of the country.
3. An important feature of summer season is the ‘loo’. These are strong, gusty, hot, dry winds blowing during the day over the north and northwestern India.
4. Dust storms are also very common during the month of May in northern India. These  storms generally bring temporary relief from the scorching heat as they lower the temperature and may bring light rain  and cool breeze.

5. Further  during this season there are rains, thunderstorms in the West Bengal region, referred as Kaal Baisakhi.
