Dear student,
1 (a) According to the stoichiometry of the reaction 1 molecule of methane combines with 2 molecules of O2 and gives 1 molecule of CO2 then 10 molecules of methane on combining with 20 molecules of O2 gives 10 molecules of CO2
(b) Since 10 molecules of methane requires 20 molecules of O2 , but as per the given condition only 10 molecules of O2 are taken then it is a limiting reactant and methane is in excess amonut.
Regards
