Give any 2 instances when the joint session has been called recently.

Dear Students,
Article 108 of the Indian Constitution of India provides for Joint sitting of both the Houses. The joint sitting of the Parliament is called by the President and is presided over by the Speaker or, in his absence, by the Deputy Speaker of the Lok Sabha or in his absence, the Deputy-Chairman of the Rajya Sabha.
Recently, no joint session has been called.Te main cause behind it is that the current government is in full majority.President of India recently addressed the joint sitting of both the houses of Parliament. It was the first time he addressed the newly elected 17th Loksabha.
A joint session has been called only three times:
  1. Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961
  2. Banking Service Commission Act (Repeal), 1978
  3. Prevention of Terrorism Act, 2002
