Answer 1.  Civil disobedience movement came into force in various parts of the country-

1) Mahatma Gandhi started the salt march from the Sabarmati Ashram to Dandi with so many people, starting the Civil disobedience movement. This led to a huge change as thousands of people from different parts of the world broke the salt law and started manufacturing their own salt.
2) As rich peasant communities were very hard hit by the trade depression and falling prices they became enthusiastic supporters of the Civil Disobedience Movement.
3) Merchants and industrialists supported the movement by giving financial assistance and refused to buy and sell the imported goods.
4) The industrial working-class people such as railway workers, dock workers, coal mine workers of Nagpur participated in the Civil Disobedience movement by participating in protest rallies and boycott campaigns.

Answer 2-  Dalits participation was limited in the civil disobedience movement because-

1) Congress had ignored Dalits in terms of participation in CDM for a long time because they did not want to offend the conservative high-caste Hindus.
2) Mahatma Gandhi wanted to eliminate this caste system, so he himself started cleaning toilets. But many Dalit leaders only wanted political empowerment, they believed that only their political statutes can solve the problems faced by the community in the society.
3) They demanded separate electorates for the Dalit community in legislative councils. But these demands were not fulfilled at the very moment. That is why Dalits' participation was limited in the Civil Disobedience Movement.
