the summary is that the tsunami was caused in thailand on 24 december 2004 .there was a vast a destruction and loss of life . it was about the life of three people who suffered from the great tsunami. and the people thought how the animal has sixth sense for the upcoming danger..

this part gives us some important and inspiring incidents. these occurred when tsunami hit some parts of india. the storiesare from andaman and nicobar island.the first story is about ignesious. his wife woke him up at 6 a.m. sensing an earthquake ignesious put the tlevision in the ground and the family rushed outthey saw the sea rising. they were confused . they ran in the opposite direction but his wife swept away with his two childrens and his brother and ignesious lost his wife ,his childrens, and his brother in law.
in the story there are such more peoples who were brave,fortunate, intellegent like. sanjeev protect a cook of the guest house,meghna was saved after floating in the water with the help of a log of wood, and tilly protected some peoples by the geographical chapter.

In tsunami Ignesious , the manager of a cooperative society, lost two of his children, wife and father-in-law as he could not get alarmed by the tremor. Sanjeev was a policeman. He jumped into the water to rescue his cook’s wife, but they were both swept away. Both Meghna’s and Almas’ families were washed away. Both of them kept floating in the sea for days. Meghna floated in the sea for two days holding on to a wooden door. She was brought to the shore by a wave. Similarly, Almas climbed on to a log of wood and fainted. She woke up in a hospital. Both the girls were traumatized after the incident. While Meghna was seen walking on the seashore in daze, Almas does not talk about the incident to anyone. Both of them were not noticed by relief helicopters.Tilly Smith (a British school girl ) was able to save many lives when the tsunami struck Phuket beach in Thailand as she had seen the sea behaving in the same way in a video in her class of a tsunami that had hit the Hawaiian islands in 1946. She had won a number of awards. The tourist thanked Tilly and her geography lesson that had warned her.Before tsunami in India and SriLanka, wild and domestic animals fled to safety, elephants ran for higher grounds; dogs refuse to go outdoors; flamingoes abandoned their low-lying breeding areas as seemed to know what was about to happen. It is believed that animals either posses a sixth sense or have more acute hearing that helps them to hear or feel earth’s vibration. Near about 150,000 people killed in tsunami in a dozen countries but not many animals reported dead.

Part I:

Following are a few descriptions of the people and places which got adversely affected in the Tsunami of 26th?Dec, 2004, in the archipelago of Andaman and Nicobar islands. Early morning people witnessed a tremor of an earthquake followed by huge sea waves, sweeping them off with the sea. People got swept off even when they were trying to save other people. Due to poor rescue operations, people kept afloat for 2 consecutive days, unspotted by relief helicopters. Tourists also suffered the calamity on a large scale. This entire event left the victims traumatised.

Part II:

This story is an account of a 10-year old school Tilly Smith, who managed to save people?s lives when the tsunami struck the shores of Thailand. She recalled the geography lessons that were delivered at her class. She got more and more hysterical, making her family members understand the intensity of danger.?They took refuge in the third floor of the hotel. Thus, they were saved as the hotel withstood the effect of three tsunami waves. Thanks to her education, they all stood forewarned. Later, Tilly went back to her school in England, and narrated her experience with horror.

This account narrates the fact as to how animals stay alarmed and are usually aware of a natural disaster much before humans comprehend the situation. It was during the catastrophe of tsunami when we found very less dead animals along the shore, as they ran for their safety much before the tsunami had actually struck.?The giant waves that rolled through the Indian Ocean killed more than 150,000 people in a dozen countries; but not many animals have been reported dead.
