Soluble Substances: oxygen and carbon dioxide.

Insoluble substances: methane, hydrogen and carbon monoxide.

Liquids

Miscible liquids (which get mixed with water): milk,vineagar and glucose

Immiscible liquds (which cannot be mixed with water): kerosene, edible oil and chalk powder

Soluble Gases :- oxygen, carbon dioxide, ammonia.

Insoluble Gases:- nitrogen, carbon monoxide, hydrogen and methane.

Soluble Liquids:- alcohal, lime water, cough syrup and honey.

Insoluble Liquids:- kerosene, nail polish, varnish,  mustard oil and mercury.
