give reason for the following (a) arteries are thick walled blood vessels. (b) veins are thin walled blood vessels and (c) veins have valves in them

A) arteries have thick walls because arteries carry blood away from the heart to the rest of the body. The thick walled arteries make it possible to carry large amount of blood from heart to the body without bursting.

B)Veins carry blood from other parts of the body to the heart so they have low blood pressure as compared to the arteries and are thus thin walled.

C)Veins have valves in order to prevent back flow of the blood. thus valves keep blood from flowing back under the effect of gravity.

I) Because oxygenated blood flows with high pressure via arteries than via veins. Hence arteries have thick walled blood vessels.
II) Deoxygenated blood exerts very little pressure on the walls of veins. Therefore veins have thin walls.
III) To prevent the backflow of blood, veins have valves in them

arteries have thick walls vecause blood pass through it in high pressure and vein have thin walls as blood flows in usual manner and it has valves to prevent backflow of the blood
