We know that India is divided in two parts by the tropic of cancer. The part of country that lies below this is close to the equator. So, there is tropical climate. On the other hand, the part that lies above this is in the temperate zone, i.e. between tropic of cancer and arctic circle. So, there is subtropical climate.
