Both rayon and nylon are synthetic fibers while cotton is a natural fibre.Rayon and nylon  have some special chemical properties because of which their fibres  are stronger than cotton.Cotton is a polymer of cellulose where there is oxide linkage between the monomer units. In case of nylon there is amide linkage between the monomers because of which it is stronger. In case of rayon the tensile strength is more than in case of cotton.
