When we breathe in, air passes through the nasal passage where fine hair and mucus are present. If there are any dust particles present in the air in our nasal passage, it will get stuck to the fine hair and mucus.
The air then passes through the throat which is made up of rings of cartilage . These rings of cartilage ensure that the passage does not collapse.
