Headlights of cars and search lights have reflectors.

Concave mirrors are used as shaving mirrors.

Convex lens is also called as magnifying glass.

1. Headlights of cars and search lights have reflectors in order to concentrate entire light of headlight energy out in front of us and on the road, where we require it instead of letting half of the light to pour back under the lid.

2. Concave mirrors are used as shaving mirrors because they magnify the images which help in smooth shaving.

3. Convex lens is also called as magnifying glass because they show the image in enlarged size.

- headlights of cars and search lights have reflectors to produce a strong parallel beam of light . in reflectors ,the source of light is placed at the focus which after reflection forms a parallel beam of light .

-used as shaving mirrors,since it gives an erect and enlarged image.when the object is placed very close ,within its focal length .
