Anthrax is an illness caused by the bacterium, Bacillus anthracis.
Anthrax mainly affects livestock but humans can become infected through direct or indirect contact with sick animals.

Some symptoms are as follows-
  1. Nausea
  2. Vomiting
  3. Abdominal pain
  4. Headache
  5. Loss of appetite
  6. Fever
  7. Severe, bloody diarrhea in the later stages of the disease
  8. Sore throat and difficulty swallowing
  9. Swollen neck
  10. Mild chest discomfort
  11. Shortness of breath
  12. Coughing up blood
  13. Painful swallowing
  14. Shock
  15. Meningitis — a potentially life-threatening inflammation of the brain and spinal cord
