Friction is a force which causes the vehicles or objects to stop. There are many advantages of friction such as:

• It prevents accidents by making the vehicles or objects stop.
• Hammering the nail on the wall.
• Pulling a cart such as bullock cart or horse cart.

There are many disadvantages of friction such as:

• Opposes the motion of a vehicle or object.
•  Causes overheating of machines.
• Causes extra energy to be used.
