a. Deficient monsoon serves as major problem and setback for farmers who are dependent on rainfall to meet their irrigation needs
b. Thus, there is a need to come up with innovative and pragmatic solutions to deal with deficient rainfall
c. It is important t to bring about technological innovation so to reduce the amount of of water , and also enhance production per drop of water
d. Framers for instance can make use of low cost tensiometers, soil moisture sensor that will provide necessary information to the farmers regarding moiusture content in the soil and when to irrigate their farms, this si allready being worked with farmers in Punjab
e. Similarly, in Guhjarat , farmesr have been using GW-11 variety of seeds for the production of wheat, which are drought resistant, thereby require less irrigation
