Good afternoon guys!!
Difference between Cytokinesis and karyokinesis.
*No irrelevant answers pls*
Dear student
Cyto refers to cytoplasm and karyo refers to nucleus and kinesis is a general term which means movement.
Cytokinesis refers to division or seperation of cytoplasm of a cell to make two daughter cells whereas in karyokinesis nucleus dividies to form two daugher nucleii (a dikaryonic stage appeares).
Karyokinesis happens before cytokinesis during cell division.
Karyokinesis occurs during M-phase of cell cycle and cytokinesis occurs at the end of M-phase.
