Good afternoon guys!!!

Pls help.

Dear student, Please find below the solution to the asked query=The gastrointestinal hormones (or gut hormones) constitute a group of hormones secreted by enteroendocrine cells in the stomach, pancreas, and small intestine that control various functions of the digestive organs. The gastro intestinal hormones are- Secretin and Cholecystikinin (CCK). These are secreted by the intestinal mucosa and allow the proper digestion of food through intestinal juice. CCK is released in response to fat rich chyme and causes the contraction of gall bladder to release bile which in turn carries out the process of emulsification. Secretin is released when the chyme entering the intestine is highly acidic. Secretin stimulates pancreas to release bicarbonates rich fluid so that proper ph is maintained for the functioning of other enzymes. Other hormones include somatostatin, motilin etc. Hope this information will clear your doubts about the topic. If you have any more doubts just ask here on the forum and our experts will try to help you out as soon as possible.
