Dear Student.
It is strongly advised that this type of matter should be written by the student itself from his/her own perspective, but here are a few pointers that might help you in composing your speech:

• I have been a part of this institution for quite a long time. It feels great to be finally standing here to become something greater. Not just a face in the assembly crowd. To me, it doesn't mean standing out and sharing something what I may someday be, but it's about sticking to the roots, the values of this institution.
• This post will entitle me with a chance to bring something what I have been thinking of contributing to the school. I was a part of that same assembly crowd. I had ideas too, but I had no medium to convey it. I find myself capable for the post because I know what it's like to have ideas, how to implement them.
• Thanks to all the teachers here who have made me capable. Its my promise that you'll witness change. And I want all the students to be the change. I want to bridge the gap between the faculty and the students. We'll change. I believe. I believe in my friends, this institute and all the students and teachers. I believe I can.
